Privacy Policy

When you use TheWoWForge, we collect:

• Account data: email address, hashed password, chosen username

• Security data: IP address, 2FA secret (if enabled), login timestamps

• Content: forum posts, bounty descriptions, bounty thread messages, profile information you provide

• Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid membership, PayPal shares your subscription ID, payer ID, email, and subscription status with us. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those stay with PayPal.

• To operate your account and the Service

• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

• To process paid memberships

• To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription updates)

• To comply with legal obligations

We use the following third-party services to operate TheWoWForge. Each processes the minimum data needed for its function:

• PayPal — subscription payments

• Resend — transactional email delivery

• Zoho Mail — our inbox for receiving your emails

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

TheWoWForge uses cookies only for essential functions: keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, and security. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you

• Correct inaccurate data

• Delete your account and associated data

• Export your data

• Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Account data is kept while your account is active. It is deleted within 30 days of account closure, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g. payment records for tax purposes).

Forum posts and bounty content remain visible after account closure unless you specifically request deletion, in which case the author is anonymized but content may remain for community integrity.

For any questions about this policy or to exercise your rights, email [email protected].
